Whenever Zoya Akhtar is making a movie, it becomes a huge affair. Her deep understanding of societal norms, the right attitude to question the faiths, and subtle way of presenting serious subjects sensibly on-screen make her one of the most-talked-about filmmakers of Indian Cinema. That’s why her films become the highest-grossing films of the year, strike a conversation among people, leads to a paradigm shift, and also win prestigious film awards.
Her last film Gully Boy was India’s official selection for the Oscars. And now this dynamic Bollywood director is ready with her next production. Neither the title nor the slightest idea about the plot is known till now. But the cast seems to have been finalized. A few months ago, it was reported that Ananya Panday - the new Bollywood star kid on the block has been approached for this project. And now it is heard that Gully Boy actor Siddhant Chaturvedi and The White Tiger actor Adarsh Gourav have been roped in for other roles in Zoya’s next production.

Talking about Siddhant Chaturvedi - he was a revelation in Farhan Akhtar’s web series titled Inside Edge and later rose to fame with Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Adarsh Gourav is another breakout star who stunned everyone with the 2020 film The White Tiger based on a book of the same name. The film is about to go on floors this year itself. But again given the extremity of the second wave of COVID-19, it all depends on how the situation remains in the latter half of the year.
