Lootera (2013)

Lootera is to date Sonakshi Sinha’s best performance on screen. She was nominated in the category of Best Actress in all the Bollywood film awards that year and won some of them too. The story is set in 1953, the post-independence era when the Zamindari system was abolished. Pakhi is the daughter of a zamindar who falls in love with an archaeologist, Varun. Her father arranges their marriage but on the day of their marriage, Varun escapes stealing the ancestral golden statue of their idols. Also, Pakhi’s father sold some antique artifacts through Varun. It is also discovered that the currency notes from the purchase of these antique things are all counterfeit. Saddened by this incident, Pakhi’s father dies and she settles in a hill station. Years later, Varun meets Pakhi while trying to hide from the police when she is suffering from tuberculosis. As Pakhi, Sonakshi delivered a strong performance that stayed in the minds of people.
Dabangg (2010)
