Gangs of Wasseypur (2012)

Director: Anurag Kashyap

This is one of the best gangster movies in Bollywood. In this crime thriller drama, you will see Nawazuddin portray the role of Faizal Khan. It is based on a true event of rival gangs in Dhanbad. In this revenge drama spilling across generations, Nawauddin played the son of Manoj Bajpayee whose motive in the major part of the movie is to seek revenge for his dad’s murder. Faizal is calm, cool, and plans his actions meticulously. From an inebriated teenager to a heartfelt romance king, from a responsible family person to the avenger - Nawazuddin played every shade of Faizal to utmost perfection.

Badlapur (2015)

Director: Sriram Raghavan

Nawaz was a villain here and that didn’t stop from people loving him even more than the hero of the movie. The story is about Raghu who has a picture-perfect life with a beautiful wife and cute son. But his life changes when two bank robbers kill his wife and son. Nawazuddin played one of the robbers named Liak. As Liak, he is playful yet dangerous. Liak’s dialogues got more claps. Manjhi: The Mountain Man (2015)

Director: Ketan Mehta

This is another “inspired by real incidents” movie. It is based on the life of Dasrath Manjhi who is also known as The Mountain Man. Manjhi was poor labor in Gahlaur who carved a 25 feet deep, 360 feet long, and 30 feet wide path through the hills using a hammer and chisel. He worked relentlessly for 22 long years. Why? Because he lost his wife due to a lack of a proper road and mode of transportation. His wife gave birth to a girl and died. This loss made him take a pledge to do something big. His dialogue, “bhagwan ke bharose matt baithye ... kya pata bhagwan humre bharose baitha ho” (don't sit and wait around for God to do something ... who knows God is probably waiting for us to do something).

Director: Sabbir Khan

You can watch this dance musical Bollywood film on Mzaalo for free. It’s another regular Tiger Shroff movie with lots of action and dance sequences. But the show-stealer here was Nawazuddin Siddiqui. He went out of his regular roles and played Mahindra who wants to learn how to dance just to impress the girl he likes. He bursts out dancing amidst some paintings to Gandi Baat (a superhit track from R… Rajkumar - a Bollywood action comedy movie available on Mzaalo). And guess what he does that perfectly! Filled with many such laughable moments, this movie is a must-watch for the Nawazuddin Siddiqui fans.

Manto (2018)

Director: Nandita Das

Manto as the name suggests is a heart-warming biography of Saadat Hasan Manto - one of the most progressive writers Indian ever had. Nandita Das has brilliantly scripted the rise and fall of this writer who had to shift to Lahore after partition but his heart could never leave Bombay. Nawazuddin Siddiqui brought Manto alive on screens and his performance deserves thunderous applause. Don’t miss this biographical Bollywood drama movie.

Apart from all these above movies, you must also watch The Lunchbox, Kahaani, Raman Raghav 2.0, Haraamkhor, etc. if you want to explore the best of Nawazuddin Siddiqui Hit movies.
